A talk about the natural history of gray wolves followed by a family-friendly, nature film.

Sunday, Oct. 13:

10:30 - 11 a.m.: Lore of the Loon

Learn about the interesting characteristics, mysterious calls and migration of Minnesota’s State Bird.

Thursday, Oct. 17:

10:30 - 11:30 a.m.: GPS & Geocaching 101

Learn about GPS and get an introduction to the great sport of geocaching. This is a beginners class but all skill levels are welcome.

Friday, Oct. 18:

10:30 a.m.: Kids’ Activity: Barking Up the Right Tree

Learn how craftspeople of former Kathio villages used tree bark for many purposes and take home a small souvenir you make yourself.

Saturday, Oct. 19:

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: We Are Water: Watercolor Paint Morning

A fun morning of watercolor painting. Instructors Carol Hernandez and Linda Stevens will teach you how to use water as a medium to create colorful designs and washes with a water theme.

2 - 3 p.m.: Turtles & Snakes

All activities meet at the Interpretive Center.

A talk about Mille Lacs area reptiles will include a visit from Shellby the Turtle & Corny the Snake.

Sunday, Oct. 20:

10:30 a.m.: Nature Film - The Ultimate Guide: Birds of Prey

A family-oriented film to learn about hunters of the sky.

All activities meet at the Interpretive Center unless otherwise noted.
