Come let your thoughts be known!

The Rum River. Mille Lacs Lake. The surrounding forests, parks, and natural areas. These spaces define so much of what people value about living and working in this region, and right now, several communities in the area that drains to Mille Lacs Lake and the Rum River are working together to identify challenges and opportunities for protecting and restoring forests, prairies, agricultural land and waterways – now and into the future.

As this process begins, we want to hear from you about your ideas, concerns, and opinions to inform the goals and strategies of a comprehensive plan for the Rum River watershed.

Three workshops will be hosted across the watershed where you can learn more about this planning effort and weigh in with your thoughts in a casual table conversation with others in the community. It is incredibly important to local staff working on this plan that it is informed, from the beginning, by the insights of the people closest to the landscape and resource – you. Pick the date, time, and location that work best of you, and come join in!

• Anoka City Hall: Wednesday, July 31, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
