Good shot

Isle sophomore Zachary Horsch tied for best score by a Huskies’ clay shooter last week, making good on 46 of 50 shots.

The Isle High clay shooting team completed their fifth and final week of the regular season on May 22. Because of inclement weather, the Onamia High team decided to try to shoot on Friday, May 24 (after this issue of the Messenger went to print). If the Panthers were unable to get their shooting in, they were going to revert to submitting their reserve scores from weeks ago.

The Huskies should have kept their second-place status in their seven-team Class AA conference in tact after they turned in some of the best scores of their season.

Leading the pack was Eric McQuoid and Zachary Horsch, each with 46-50 scores, followed by 45-50s from Levi Skogen and Macen Haggberg, a 44-50 from Brad Bernu, a 41-50 by Jacob Dangers and a pair of 40s from Willy Stalker and Owen Nutt.
