The Isle Huskies football squad finished the season with an overall record of 3-5 following a 76-26 loss to the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers on Oct. 16.

The Huskies, who came to the away game without five of their starters due to injury or other circumstances, found themselves behind 60-6 by half-time but outscored the Rangers 20-16 during the second period.

Highlights of the game for Isle were all four touchdowns via the air, including two to Willy Stalker and one each to Ethan Benson and Lucas Gross.

Isle finished the game with 320 total yards of offense, including 186 passing yards and 134 rushing.

Mountain Iron-Buhl had 542 total yards of offense, 468 of which were on the ground.

The Huskies were seeded 3rd in Section 5, 9-man and were scheduled to host the 6th-seeded Floodwood Polar Bears on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Floodwood finished their season with four forfeits.

A win over Floodwood would pit Isle in a Saturday, Oct. 26 afternoon game against the second seed McGregor Mercs, a team Isle beat earlier this season.
