Isle 9th-grader Daniel Miller handled the hot corner at third base this spring for the Huskies.

The Isle Huskies baseball team’s overall record ended up 7-12 following a win over McGregor in the final game of the regular season, and a loss to East Central in the opening round of the Section 5A tournament.

McGregor

The Isle Huskies closed their regular season baseball schedule with an 11-1 win over the McGregor Mercs on May 20.

Macen Haggerg and Eric McQuoid combined for a five-inning no-hitter in the game called because of the 10-run rule. Isle pitching also struck out 12 Merc batters in the five-inning affair.

Isle’s offense banged out seven hits, including three by Konner Krawiecki and two by McQuoid, and the Huskies took advantage of six walks in the lopsided win.

East Central

East Central put up big crooked numbers in the first four innings and Isle scored sparingly, leading to a 15-2, five-inning loss.

Isle pitching gave up 15 runs, of which nine were earned, on 11 hits and walked five. East Central pitchers gave up two runs, on just four hits (two each by Eric McQuoid and Macen Haggberg), walked none and struck out five in their five innings.
