The Onamia and Isle High clay target shooting teams competed in their second of five conference meets on May 1.
The six leading marksmen for Isle were Macen Haggberg and Ethan Benson, each with 45-50, followed by 44-50 from Eric McQuoid, Levi Skogen and Owen Nutt, and a 43-50 by Brad Bernu.
Isle’s team score of 1,065 after week one left them in a strong third place among the seven teams in their conference, just 10.5 points behind second-place Randolph High. Computer glitches left the conference standings incomplete after week two’s shooting.
Onamia’s best shooters for the day included Jakob Golombowski with 42-50, Bryce Brandt with 39-50, a pair of 37-50s from Alex Forsberg-Manthe and Brady Husom and a 34-50 from Josh Golombowski.
Onamia’s team total of 414.5 left the Panthers in fifth place among the nine Class A teams in their conference. Onamia was just 21 points behind fourth-place Menahga.
